We did the 8 hours tour on the Kitimat river with the raft. There were so many beautiful salmon and we kept one in the end. Dawson and his brother are the perfect guides. They for sure know everything about fishing, can show you the best techniques and spots here in Northern BC. We asked Kodi to show us and we had an absolutely epic evening! Kodi taught us the basics and before we knew it we were catching rainbow trout! His knowledge of the rivers in the area and his easy way of supporting clients makes for an excellent experience. Thatk you so much Kodi. Very good day of fly fishing for rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and whitefish in July. Although not a complete novice I was not experienced. I was given very good advice and learnt a lot, as well as catching a dozen good fish. Very good wildlife viewing too, including a lynx. Once again he was on time and communicated with us as he traveled to Terre. We fished the Kitimat River in his raft which was very comfortable. He was very patient with my wife as she's just learning fly fishing and helped her land a salmon on the fly rod. Her smile couldn't have been bigger. Dawson is a very skilled oars man as the river had a few challenging spots that he made it look easy. Safety first is his priority and provided us with life vests. My wife and I had a great day on the river and caught lots of salmon. Well run highly professional outfit that delivered the goods. 3 out of the 4 of us had never been fly fishing before and in next to no time we were hauling plenty over the side of the boat. Dawson made sure that we were on fish all day, was great company and very helpful in setting us up.
